take a mutimetre and check if for yourself
there are 2 pairs of wires down there
1 pair is for the brake light signal
the other pair is for the tcm lockup
1 chance out of 2 to get the right pair on the first try

you just need to splice into the second pair , with a toggle switch
flip the switch the tcm think you are braking and the torque converter goes out of lock

and it's not a mod for continuous daily usage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

search around on google if you want more infos
that mod goes back to 1999-2000

Bill and I came up with that one.. I remember pouring over the schematics on the phone to riverside so his car wouldn't go into lockup in the 1/4 and drag his times down..

ahh the good ole days.. where we sat down with the factory manuals and said.. this sucks.. there has to be a better way.. the things people take for granted today

i tried this mod today to no avail. i cant figure out wich one is the right wire. has anyone done this?  Huh

theres a red and blackstriped one, a green one, a black one, and a tan and white striped one. the black one and the tan one were smaller wires than the red and green.

heres what i did. I took the sensor out, the brake lights whent on. I cut the green wire, the tail lights went out. okay, i said to myself, that must be the brake light wire. So i tried the red one, after putting the green one back together. the tail went out. i rubbed the ends of the red one together, it sparked, and the brake lights flickered. Okay, i said to myself, this must be the other brake light wire.

before i put the red one back together, i cut the black one. then i put the red one back together expecting to see the tail lights come back on but they didnt. does the black one go to the tail lights too? what the hell?  Huh

so then i cut everything, and re sodered the green one and the black one back together. upon rubbing the tan to tan and red to red, simultaneously, the tails did not come on!

what do i do? Huh somebody help me!!!!

I remember this mod from before ASOG crashed....as I recall Robert found a misprint in the factory schematic...but I dont remember the details; just keep that in mind if thats what you are using.
