It's likely the door switch Rubber covered swith on rear of door frame ...
Approx $6 each at the auto parts store or at the Mitsu dealer ....Dodge wants $20
Sometimes they can be cleaned with contact cleaner

If the rest of your interior light work but your dome doesnt, I would think thats something besides the door check switches.

Does anything light up when you open the door?

Try playing with the light switch.  Do you have a sunroof?

If the other lights go on when you open the door, check to make sure the switch on the dome light is switched to "door" otherwise it will only go on when you push the light button.

all the car's i've owned had the sunfroof, so i might not be able to help u, but here's an idea, if the bulb itself is not blown, there's this little switch type thing below the radio i believe, that is connected to the dome light, that may be the problem, but this usually affects ur gauge. u havent said anything about the dome light not being blown so i hope that u already took it out n looked at it. just try be a bit more nformative n the more important aspects in ur post.

heres as specific as i can get the lights themselves are not blown and the fuse is ok as well the other interior lights work (the ones on the floor and behind the center console) and all the other display lights work as well, radio(which is aftermarket) works too. the switch is on door and it doesnt work it is on the other and it doesnt work and of course i cant get the them to work by pressing their buttons.
