i just put in an engine from an eclipse about 20,000 miles on it, drove around for a while and it worked fine. today i went to start it up and she wont start.
i recorded some video to show u how it looks when im starting it.
I'd take a look at timing. That's my first guess. Next would be fuel and spark. It seemed like it wanted to catch, I"m assuming spark is ok, and fuel isn't cutting. Timing, or a bad sensor.
Scenario I'm picturing. New engine old timing components, get the motor in, timing is close or correct. But using the old timing belt means the belt should've been marked. Probably wasn't. You drive around for a bit and the slack in the belt (old belt or old tensioner) skips a few teeth. Now you bottom and top end are not in line. Do you have a CEL code?

sorry for the late reply, i will try to get the CEL codes tomm. im pretty sure its gotta b a sensor because the timing belt was replaced b4 i installed the engine and it seemed ok. hey enemytoast what was the sensor that was unplugged?

What codes did you get? If its timing, or most any major thing that could cause this, there would be a code thrown. Try resetting your ECU as well, but only after you get codes!
yup checked everything, it seems fine. i guess only my mechanic tell me whats wrong with it. im so scard lol i hope these asses didnt mess up my engine when they were installing it. i also checked my timing belt, it seemed fine, it didnt seem loose or any thing. if they cant fix the car or have to rebuild the engine or something i dont think i can afford to keep the car and i just ordered a HID conversion kit and racing dash cover off ebay lol.

sorry for the late late reply guys i didnt wanna keep u guys hangin. ne ways they found out the prob, the jackasses that installed my engine broke the top of the bolt off the exhaust manifold and didnt tighten another bolt on the intake manifold. the one on the exhaust manifold is stuck in the engine . it just doesnt start when its cold. that day i took the video was really cold. hmm so is it bad to drive like this?

The intake leak and an exhaust leak? The exhaust leak won't stop your engine from starting. So they fixed the intake side then? Whoever installed you engine should take care of the problem then. Unless the jackasses were you and some friends. Any machine shop will get that out. You just have to pull the head off to take it in.
