This thread's been dead for a while but I'll bite. I'm in Kitchener and the original owner of a 1995 Dodge Avenger 2.0L DOHC (couldn't live without stick and have never regretted it). It was off the road for a year while I drove an inherited Buick (gah!) but I came to my senses and am now poring money into the Avenger to get it back into shape. This is it just back from the body shop:
Yep. I have a friend with a Magnum who goes to all sorts of get togethers with other local Magnum owners. I say we crash 'em! Almost went to Cayuga in the Avenger last Friday with him to see a newly nitrous'd Magnum do it's first runs... Since that's a public place it would have made a great little tag-along. Want me to start keeping my ear to the ground for similar opportunities? (I haven't got a house to offer.)

Thanks! I've loved it from day one so I'm not doing anything to customize the looks, keeping it very OEM. In fact I'm annoyed that the body shop got rid of the 16V DOHC lettering from the driver's side rear quarter, it probably came off with the old steel and wasn't transferred onto the new. I should have clarified that with them up front, live and learn. Before it went in I was trying hard to find the pentagram jewel for the passenger's front quarter, now that that lettering's gone from the driver's side the missing jewel seems moot.
As far as fully restoring it, I'm still tweaking at it. Just ordered some parts for the power locks from K-W Mitsubishi this morning (after my bad luck looking up a high beam relay at Waterloo Dodge I figured I'd go straight to the source) and still need some bulbs for the dash. Apparently the bulb that back lights the power mirror control can't be ordered without a whole new control, I'm going to try and convert it to an LED; just hoping the colour's a close enough match because the old bulb was actually dipped yellow.
Also, does anyone recall if the snowflake on the air conditioning button was backlit? Mine isn't now, and I'm wondering if I should try and take it apart and put an LED under it as well or if it just came unlit. Sigh, you don't drive a car for a year and suddenly you forget what it's supposed to be like...
Yeah, the guys at KW Mitsubishi are always pretty good and they will almost always have a cheaper price than the dodge dealer.
I asked Dave and he seems to remember the snowflake lighting up as well. He doesn't remember tho if it has two lights or just one. I seem to recall that the 95 had two settings and my old 96 had one... so press it once for like economy and a 2nd time for extra or something like that? I could have it backwards and only like 96 and up did.. can't recall and our 95 doesn't have the AC hooked up anymore and has been parked for 2 years. We only drive the 01 now. We have a few parts left over from a parts car, but nothing from what you are asking for I'm pretty sure.
Every time we needed a body shop we used where a member was working. Bryan worked out of Hamilton, but he doesn't paint cars anymore and is an adjuster now. Dangerboy uses a guy out of Brantford and has been happy with him. I'll try and remember to ask Rob who he used for his body kit in Kitchener. He had his car painted orange (he sold it a few years ago). You might have seen it around Stratford? We saw it a few weeks ago when I was at the hospital there.
