Removing side trim adhesive tape
« on: April 06, 2007, 01:38:20 PM »

The side trim is still on now, I thought I'd use a razor scraper to take that off, but what about the adhesive tape?

DO NOT use a razor knife or scraper , you'll damage the paint Shocked

Heat gun and some fishing line see sawed underneath it will remove it far more effectively ...

95/96 no holes .... 97+ holes that will need filled and repainted ...

Also due to age you may be left with ghost lines since the paint underneath has not been exposed to sun ...

Residue removal spring for an eraser wheel at the body supply shop ... or 3M adhesive remover and tons of elbow grease

I personally think the Brings look better with it on. Do you need to remove them when you put on side skirts?
