Oh i also added the slope to see who has a better ratio of rpm to power, but since the TSX has a higher redline, he has a higher top speed...good for u.

Anyone else want to test that speed? Grin Tongue

I need a downpipe and some other mods to help push past that ... I'm sure I can hit higher, just takes so long to climb once your I'm past 120mph. Undecided

yeah, be careful. i dont recommend going that fast, but if u can, want to and it doesnt seem like it would cause a problem (i.e. no danger to any living creature) u have good tires/rims, go ahead.

yeah, i think with an increase in hp, you would need less power to keep the car at 55…
i would tend to agree with that statement. just look at how low a V8 revs at the same speed as V6s. i know there is differences between the two, but still.

i too would not recommend going that fast, esp on reg roads. you're just endangering everyone then. but DAAAAANNNNG! that's crazy as hello! 130. the fast i've been in my venge is 100, maybe 105 or so. do these cars not have rev limiters on them?

2900 rpm @80 mph. -V6 CAI..oh n i havent told u guys but i was having a tuned cavy for breakfast but was interrupted. Tongue

just for those curious, they had about a 5 car length head start...I gained a bit...then they went for it so i did too...i was down about a couple car lengths i thought they were slowing down..so i let off the gas only to see that they kept going..so i pursued...(up to about 100) when a car about a block up ahead slowed was braking in the lane the cavy was in. then i flew by as the cavy braked too. then again it may have not been tuned, but they didnt have stock exhaust so..i figured if they have exhaust...at least a cai or similar is expected. It had ground effects too... Smiley.

No limiter on my car. Not sure about others.

you need someone brave enough in the back seat behind you so that they can either operate a camera or read over your shoulder.

I never drive like that with anyone else in the car. I'm sure I can find a way to either mount the camera in the car, or just blow past my exit sometime  Grin.

I know the the car has a top speed of 137 mph @ 5900 rpm (governor limited) but I will take Car and Driver's word for it!

I used to be the same way actually. If I could guarantee that there were no other vehicles on the road, I would consider it. But, there are too many other variables, such as deer, potholes, tire failure, etc. I think my old age (will be 30 in Sept) is making me too cautious.  Undecided.

If we ever close a roadway at work, I will try to hit top speed (depending on the length and quality of the closed road).
