Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My car is fixed. The mechanic had to replace the crank and cam pos sensors. Then he had to replace the whole distributor. But, I have a car again.

Well, i had a light on for the cam pos sensor. It would stay on and go away after a while. I didn't think nothing of it. Apparently it was bad and because it was ran so long on the bad cam sensor, the crank sensor went out too. Somehow all of this had shorted out the distributor. Shiano, no this does not include all the things that i bought for it. Yes, i think i got cheated out of a couple hundred bucks, but better buisiness bureau will take care of that. He also had to put everything back on that i took off, or cut off. It's all good though. I have my baby back and she is going to be pampered for a while................until i decide i'm ready to do something else. It will be summer though, cuz i had my fair share of being cold working on her.

Isn't the cam sensor in the distributor? So why did it cost that much? aftermarket distributor : $150-250 OEM dealer distributor : $800-900 (why buy???) crank sensor : ? couldn't cost that much If I were to spend $1100 bucks, I'd expect it to feel like a new car!!

I bought one case once it was gone, I went back to Castrol Full Synthetic. But when my motor is finally built then It'll be back to Greddy.

Nothing really LOL. It seemed to take care of leaking my one and four cylinder. But Castrol did that too. It wasn't so much for performance gains, but there was a good write up about the additives in Greddy's 10w60 and how well they protect with high RPM driving. Thought I'd give it a try.
I'll probably run Castrol during the break in period (cheaper) but once the block is well lubricated and everything is set for the turbo, I'll go back to Greddy. See if I notice any kind of difference in color and clarity compared to Castrol.
