Passenger side Speaker problem
« on: March 02, 2007, 05:38:01 AM »

Ever since I bought the car the passenger side front speakers (mid & tweeter) have not put out as much as the drivers side.. Right now I have my deck balanced to the right to even out the music.

Also when I Fade the music to the center on my deck the passenger side front speaker cuts out completely. It need to be faded to the rear or frnt abit to kick in...

I know and have quite abit of electronics experience.. but I'm puzzled about this problem. I was thinking about switching negative & positive on the speaker to see if it was wired up wrong.

I need some Electronics Gurus to help me on this one.

Thats most likley your problem. The Infinity systems liked to short out. Just the deck though. The rest of the sysytem was ok. My deck got so bad I couldnt change the track on a CD. Because sometimes it would eject the CD instead of changing it. The Fade and Balance never worked well either.

It was knowledgeable.. but... Your thinking about the factory deck.. I have an aftermarket one. Wink Grin

So the deck wouldn't be my problem.

Although the amp was another concern but that thing is a rat nest of wiring and I dont even want to touch it. lol

Its really easy.. You really only need 4 wires snipped from that stock Amp. The 4 front speaker wires.. The rest can just be unplugged from the amp because they are not needed

Because if you are gonna use an Aftermarket Amp.. You are gonna be using the Pre-outs from the deck, are you not?

First thing I'd try is cleaning the balance/fader control pots (if equipped) some use digital controls
