As many have said with Avengers before.....you pay to play lol  Even if you pay with your blood, haha...j/k  seriously though I doubt you're going to need an engine lift to pull it off.

Also there has been a list started over on ASEC at the link I posted on post numero uno.  So all that are interested if you could head over that way and put your name on the list if you're serious about wanting a set, it would be great I sent Megan Racing an email linking them to the post on ASEC.

hold on so a shop did this for you and you didn't?  So you have ZERO idea how hard it is as opposed to what the mechanic told you?  It's liek taking your computer to a repair shop and the guy telling you installing a new CD-ROM drive is hard, they only say it so you'll come back and depend on them.

I tried putting them on myself, thats how i know all i DO know, a shop said they would do it for me cuz i figured there was no way in hell i'd be able to put them in myself after trying for days., they have a "complete shop" everything. they even make pistons and sh*t there. when i tried putting them on, it was hell, i got a couple nuts off the manifold in the rear, but that was about as far as it would go, the angle and everything plays a role, just try taking the rear manifold off, it should get u ready for when ur gonna put the headers on urself.

I know what your sayin,my 96 beater venge needs a new downpipe. The bolts are  so rusted that I've putting it off and keep welding up the old one.I know those bolts on the back manifold are going to twist off.It looks like a real bear to remove that back manifold. I'm sure glad my good venge is a 4-banger nothin to puttin a header on that.

The hardest part of doing the install is getting the old downpipe off.

I have sold over 60-70 downpipes in the past few years and they have all been installed.

I install mine own at tech school in my gravel driveway...with my car on jack stands.  Took me about an hour if I remember correctly.

The manifolds are not that hard to take off compared to the downpipe.

On my car i installed the headers after my built engine was put in.  Took me maybe 30 mins for both the front and back.

You have take off the intake plenum and remove the stock manifold from the top and install the new header from the top also.

The front manifold is pretty easy.

I would install headers on our cars all day long for $2500...thats frickin nuts man.

I'd say if you have worked on cars before...probably 4-5 hours and you should be done.

Hey greg, nice to hear from ya! how's your car?

It's still in the shop, my dad has been prepping the car all week for paint, taking out any dents, etc. i'm sticking with the stock bumper and hood, but i have some side air dams that'll be going on the front bumper. the downpipe is going on as well as st springs and agx struts and ingalls camber.  i dont know what's going on with the broken suspension, if it's fixed yet, i feel guilty calling my dad and bugging him. he worked all saturday night and sunday on it, i'm sure i'll hear from him soon. i cant wait for spring so i can put the strat gears in and the grounding kit and my lighted door sills. i'm probably gonna stop modding the car after this summer. the only thing left to do to the car that i probably wont be able to afford to do is: 3.0 swap, headers, and turbo. nitrous is out of the question. i'm going to save my money for transmission upgrades. i like driving the wife's altima, but she wont even let me put a cold air intake on it. i put full collision back on the venge.  i was considering changing all bulbs inside and out of my car to L.E.D. bulbs. hopefully the front end wont look gay with the front body effects.

I was looking at sroufe7's downpipes, and I am thinking I am going to buy one.  Actually, I definitely will, just not until this summer.

Don't chat about other stuff on here, and no offense Sroufe7, but I'm going to influence him to buy the headers (if made).
The extra money spent on the headers will be worth it.
