Long story short : - Company by the name of Megan Racing makes headers for the 3G platform. - Manifolds/Flanges are same as V6 Avenger, just a few things that would need to be changed to make them work. - Megan Racing is selling Stainless Steel headers for the 3G setup for $250-$350, if we could get them to fab some V6 headers they could be this cheap too, but we need to show them ASEC/ASOG's interest in this.
I have emailed them already, I would like to see more people do the same to show Megan Racing the Avenger/Sebring platform IS interested and would like some support
Please email support@meganracing.com and let them know you are interested so that we may one day have affordable headers available
Thanks guys, -Eric

WHOA ??!! HOLY $HIT WTF??? why when I try to get them made everyone laughs??
I want some E-mail sent already posted at ASEC too
mines a '96 w/ EGR & 4 o2 sensor port, I already have a ceramic coated Exile downpipe, when I get these (if they're made) I'm gonna wrap 'em in header wrap regardless of any finish

There has been a list started over at ASEC of people who are interested. follow the link at the top of this post to it. We just need people to email them and such showing them the platform has an adequate amount of people who want this to happen. So the list is basically saying you are interested and would buy a set if it happens.

do you have an engine lift? cuz ill tell u its not a piece of cake getting back there....i went to this shop to have mine installed and they cant even install it for less than $2500....for those and the complete exhaust (dual btw). this shop btw has everything..and i mean everything to build an engine....i called around elsewhere, but they wont even try, as soon as i say v6 they reply with a "NO we dont do those"..how depressing is that??
Thats crap, your right... But can you not do it from beneath?
Either way, I have access to an engine lift. I am going to get a bunch of things bough up for my car and do it all at once some week during this summer, so it would be well worth my time to just pull the thing anyways...
the biggest problem is finding a tool that will fit in between notches and around the bolts and that stuff. u might find the correct one for the bolt size..getting it to turn in that small of an area becomes an issue, trust me, i've been under there, and its not easy. I've tried from the top...wont work....i havent really tried from the bottom, but like i said, the biggest problem is getting a wrench that will be able to move after it gets to the bolt..if it gets to the bolt.
between my tools and the tools in my grandpa's garage, where I'll be working, we can pretty much account for everything in Sears . I dunno, you've obviously looked into it more than I have.
yeah, its no walk in the park, the one in front is a piece of cake, the one in the rear, something similar to removing the lower manifold..i would think. another issue that would come up is the internal bolts may come loose and due to rust on the ends, u may not be able to get the nuts off. if the bolt DOES come loose, an engine lift may well be necessary, im thinking of buying a different car and use the one i have for parts and sell whatever's left(headers)..cept i might just get an avenger and do a sebring front end swap.
I wouldn't have though to worry about those internal bolts coming loose......ack. I guess I better soak 'em real to good to remove the nuts and then prey when I torque em back down.... Thats all assuming this plan goes through.
