rim and tire sizes
« on: December 14, 2005, 01:43:06 AM »

hello- i was just wondering if anyone knew what is the largest size of rims and tires you can put on a 95 avenger.   i have done a lot of mods to my car already and i do have a set of rims on there now, but they are only 17's and i would like to get new rims, but i want to get the biggest size possible so it fits in the wheel well nice.

18's are perfect, anything over that is just plain sloppy looking IMO

20's will NOT fit without at LEAST rolling the fenders  Angry

I don't see anything on their site for the 7 wheels that come up when searching for 20in for a venge. I highly doubt that they will guarantee fitment in the wheel well without rolling the fenders. Their fitment guarantee only extends to the bolt pattern I believe.

Example:

You order 22s for a mini.........no way they are going to fit without modification. They can't guarantee that you will order the right size for the application.

alright thanks, i was figuring 18's i just wasnt sure cause someone did tell me once you could fit 20's, but i thought you'd have to mod it for sure to fit.   what size tires go with that if you get 18x8's?Huh

I have 19x7.5 with 225/35 tires. They fit nicely and i dont think they look "sloppy"

Nope, not at all. Doesnt even rub when I go over the railroad tracks at 60.  Cheesy

The overall diameter doesnt change a whole lot when you have 35 series tires.

I got Motegi FF7's that are 17's. They look like 16's but i think thats because of the all weather tires I got. Look ok, but i need to lower the car. Upgrade to 18's then too.

be careful with the 35 series tires though. there's not much rubber there and you can very easily bend a rim going over a small bump or whatever. plus its hard to tell when they have low psi.

i run 18" chrome motegi mr7's with 225/35/18 nitto's. i like em, but kinda wish i had 19's.
