Hi, I need to do a tune up (wires and plugs), etc...Anyone have any suggestions on what brand wires and plugs to use on a V6? Thanks so much
well any plugs will do, its not like you will see a big differnce but if you want to go with something better... -ACCEL 8MM thundersport wires -NGK copper spark plug
Also how many miles do you have on your car? There are other things needed to be changed with a tune up.

7psi on a stock bottom end with a atx, check mate.
ok, considering how much of a biotch it is to change the V6 plugs, go ahead and go with the best NGK platinum you can afford. you'll get alot more life out of them in the long run and better performance too. just make damn sure you gap the three in the rear so that you don't have to do all of that work again to get them out.
Thanks so much...the car has 195,000 km on it right now. Everything is in mint condition...ext and int. Lots of new parts, and a rebuilt tranny...so I ain't gettin rid of it anytime soon. NGK Platinum sound good...as far as the wires, just something reliable...not necessarily for performance are good enough. Oh, does anyone know generally how long their thermostat should last? I put in an OEM Mitsubishi about 2 years ago, and now I got no heat...??

possibility it's your heater core more than the thermostat. Go get a Stant Superstat. the have a failsafe design. if they fail, it's in the open position not the closed.

You're not supposed to regap platinum plugs, they will chip, just double check the gap.
you can gap platinum plugs as long as you dont bend the tip (NGKs especially) just make sure your using the leverage side of the gapper and not the increasing slope side.
