He also thinks his 96 base neon can take the Sebring.  Cheesy

Look at his VIN. About midway [8th position but if you're smart you wont half to count. VIN's have 16 digits] look for a Y or a C. If it's a Y, save a little face and don't try to run him. there is a pretty good chance he could beat you. if it's a C, he has a SOHC 420A.

Either way, Neons CAN be done proper. they were put out by chrysler as a family car but became a formidable street fighter when the HP to weight ratio was determined by the tuner community. I had a 96 Plymouth Neon [C]. It had a few problems. However, it had it's moments where it stood up and slapped the sh*t out of the people that would rev at me thinking i was an easy 'mark'. i kid you not.

And it WAS auto. 164000 miles on the odo.

It doesn't have the R/T motor.. so I wouldn't be worried... It's got the slow motor I seen it go, he trys to floor it all the time and its sad... It makes me laugh... also the fact that his back end bounces all over the place when he takes off because he has no rear shocks.  Cheesy

no their not. they need suspension upgrades definitely [and some major front end strengthening for those collisions] but they're not bad.
