I'm looking to get some new rubber for my 16" factory alloys. I have been leaning toward the General Tire Exclaim UHP... My Question is which size should I go with? I think I narrowed it down to the following: 205/55-16 205/50-16 215/55-16 Which size would be the best for the car without messing up the speedo? They are all about the same price so that wouldn't matter at all.

I believe the 205/55 is the factory tire size. Would the different dimension help at all?

you've got to MAJORLY change your wheel size in order to mess up your speedo by a noticable amount (5+/-)

I have those tires and I love em. The only issues people seem to have with them is a complaint about the sidewall being too soft but I have no problems.

I agree with the filled wheel well idea. If I had the money, these would occupy that space.

if you're worried about your speedo, just get the factory size

yeah, that or some good calculations. you can get w/in a half an inch or so, easy. i've got 18s and my tire height is only about .5" or so taller than stock⦠haven't really noticed any change in speedo (of course, i think mine has been off since i've had the car, )

Yeah, I'm not too worried about the speedo, i just want the best performance out of the size. I know wider is better, just seeing if that extra 10 millimeters is worth it.

you'd be amazed how much a few millimeters can make. ask any sniper.
