lol, i know all about the hp just being a factor of torque at a certain rpm. i jus thought it really had something special, i guess not. i read a magazine that said it produces tons of power for a small engine...didnt really look up any additional info. well..i think its pointles to do that to a car unless ur just gonna race it at nascar or something. low rpm high torque is whats good. as for those civic owners....the poor things..they should grow out of it sooner or later.
....i laugh everytime i hear a fart can go blowin past my house...sounds like a f*cking tornado coming then u look out to see the civic just pulling out from a stop....the sad part is the bald tires (purposely left so for squealing purposes) arent even skidding.

I do and probably always will not like Honda, but I will give them credit for getting that power out of a 4 cyl.  I want to get the same power out of an n/a Avenger, and I think it's possible.  Exile Racing offers high-compression forged pistons, ported multi-angled heads, and forged crank.  When I replace my engine I want all that; no-exceptions.  ONLY OTHER THING I WOULD NEED THAT IS NOT MADE IS HEADERS !!!  Angry

umm..nykon lol, i think he's ..well i KNOW he's talking about the V6. redstar if u can get a custom made camshaft and rebuild the engine...u can have all that...if ur engine is able to take spinning all the way up that high and get a cam that produces power at a particular rpm u can do it...of course with other mods.

so you WANT the ricers to look extra cool in their 4 dr civics. think about grandma passing you while giving you the bird with a big smile on her face. Or that annoying person who nevers lets anyone pass them and does 10 miles under the speed limit HAVING the power to do the SL but not.
Cheesy lol Cheesy

Yeah, I undertand all that, it's just a matter of time & money.  I'm going to get a beater to drive some day and garage my Avenger so I can put in the engine I want.  When it comes out afterward, it's going to be the Avenger I 've always wanted........maybe.

somebody's getting past that hill Cheesy. ok, so here's another thought. due to the fact that the engine can take such a beating. there's a lot u should be able to do to get some low end torque. i just think its an advantage for a car to come stock with the ability to take all that.

you're rite, there is def some advantages to it. just at it's current state you'll hardly ever see the advertised HP. that's the thing that gets me, you have to practically blow the thing up just to see the HP that marketing makes a big deal about.
