That's a good find.  I do believe in global warming.  But I don't think that it's all human caused.  We might throw in a little extra, but it's like that Salvation Army cup at a Gas Station.

thats, true, there are so many other factors that cant even be calculated due to undiscovery and ignorance. the reason they pick on human global warming is due to the fact that its the most obvious in your face example. for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. it is the balance of the universe and the only law i believe applies to the whole being of the universe. For every molecule of CO2, the entire universe will react in a certain "unpredictable" manner. i say "unpredictable" because to an extent, everything is predictable and at the same time unpredictable. the more intelligent a person is, the more "predictable" a situation becomes. to become more intelligent, a being has to become more complex, therefore acquiring "more" of the universe and an understanding of it. the universe does not get any simpler as time goes by as can be noted by the current stage of us as human beings coming from uni-cellular organisms in the beginning. the entire universe is ever changing. one action causes another reaction causing another reaction until the end of motion (time). i dont know how many initial actions there were or any such things, but as long as motion exists, the universe will continue to change. there's more to this..i just dont have much "motion" Grin

i've heard somewhere that its el nino that is to be blamed for the unseasanable warm temps.  colorado and the other parts of the mid west are getting hit with snow, only we arnt.  if it was global warming, then no one would be getting snow.  thats how it was explained to me.

skepticism and denial don't do anyone any good. i use to be in denial about it. but there has never been any more evidence of "global warming" than me in a t-shirt in january. granted i do live in south carolina, but it was only 2 or 3 years ago i wouldn't be caught dead out in january without about 5 layers of clothes on (very cold natured). i feel the reason humans get so much blame is b/c of the rapid increase in our population (and therefore our inventions that output CO2, etc, etc) and the fact that we are intelligent enough to do something about it.
yes, there has historically been periods of time when the average temp was above average, but the fact is it's done nothing but steadily, and rapidly, increase over the past 5 or more years. i may be wrong, but i think the historical spikes in temp have not been this above average nor lasted this long. i mean, we were 20˚ above average just yesterday. 20 freaking degrees!!! and that's happened on more than one occasion thus far this winter. that's a bit much for there to not be anything wrong, imo. just take a look at satelite imagery of greenland from last year this time and now. there is significantly less shoreline now. if that entire glacier melts (and it's been at a higher rate than once predicted) it'll add something like 20ft to the sea level. 20ft over all the ocean! that's enough to significantly change the way all the continents looks. bye, bye southern fla.

ah well. that's just my 2¢ (spinning around one of those big funnel box thingy's you see in the mall or wal-mart from time to time).

We just got a little snow today.  First time this year.  It didn't acumulate or anything, but it was snowing.

The only reason that I'm skeptical about global warming... or at least why i'm not concerned about warm temps where I am...

It may have been 70 degrees (very odd where I am) the last few days but it was below freezing where the ice is. When it becomes 70 in the winter where all the ice caps are... I'll worry. Until then, I think its something people just like to get worked up about.

Hows that for a non-educated response to global warming?

That sounds like Oklahoma weather, totally FUBAR.  We've had bad weather recently and we are already expecting more, Gov. called a state-wide emergency, but this has happened before.  It's nothing new to me, but I do hate nasty cold weather.  Next year it's gonna be like in that movie "The Day After Tomorrow" or what ever it is called.

You know, it'll be way too late to do anything about it when the day comes. I think that's what the hubbub is all about. Trying to make ppl realize we prob need to start doing something now, before it's too late.
But yeah, people do tend to get really worked up about it, more so than they may need to. But I guess everyone does about stuff the really believe in.

Maybe so but i'm not spending $30,000 for solar panels on my house so my SUPER HOT light bulbs stop burning the atmosphere. The problem is that 1 or 2 people playing their part won't do jack in my opinion.

The environment does way more to promote global warming than any of us.  How do you think the first Ice Age came to a halt.  It's just life moving the way it does.
