Two guys I work with were looking at the 08 Viper in Motor Trend and said 2 things that they believe to be true: The Viper "only" has a V-10, supposedly smaller than the V-12 it used to have
The Viper now is made of fiberglass but used to be made of steel and that's why it's so heavy
I'm to lazy to search the internet for proof that it was always fiberglass and a V-10 so I'll just ask you guys to back me up as proof I know what I'm talking about.
always v10 and always fiberglass, i must admit i never know bout the RTM tho
i got into an arguement with one of my best friends over the whole v12 thing. ended up going to the dodge dealer and showin him the motor in the viper up there and collected on the $100 bet me made! worst part bout it was, he was up there just a few days before buyin his shiny new srt-4 and does know quite a bit bout the whole dodge line up, or at least thought he did!!
The viper's V-10 motor was originally supposed to be a truck motor when development started, then they got the idea of slapping that puppy in a lightweight FIBERGLASS bodied sports car.
