Well when they read it, they probably cleared the code. So if the code doesn't come up again. You're good to go. If it does, I'd put a new TPS on.

What if the new TPS does the same thing? I checked with them and they DO have one in stock and it is $40.

If the new TPS does it too, then you might have a computer issue. Nykon can pull up a TSB about your year.

DT, the problem remains, I just haven't got the "Check Engine" light back on. Did I also happen to mention that it seems to not have the power it should? It it weak, I should have more power, and it stalls.

How do I determine if I have an FJ Avenger? will it be in the VIN #?

If I do have these problems, where can I get the necessary equipment & parts?

All Avengers are FJ, its the body style or platform as it were. You have to go to the dealer and have them reflash the computer with the updated software.

I haven't done anything with the car yet, but I just got home from work and it drove like a beast. It had power like it always should. It's like certain conditions for sensors, or something is just jiggled loose, or a vacuum hose sometimes leaking or blocked. Huh
