My oil and oil pressure woes are over. I changed my oil today, and the pressure is fine. It scared me thinking that i was starving my engine for oil, but i'm not. The last time i changed my oil, I put a fram on it. This was before i knew that they were bad. That just proves that they suck. My pressure absolutely sucked with it. I'm runnin a pure one oil filter and castrol synthetic blend.
not really, they aren't recommended for street use though. Mostly for racing. I think it has something to do with the oil pressure.
I use them more in my camaro. I used it like once in the sebring. I wont have a problem with them im my camaro then because I cant wait tell summer because Im going to start drag racing it. If everything goes as planned....

I would never buy from NAPA........................I HATE THEM........ all they do is try to screw you with their warranties. At least the one here does.

*sigh* I am not even going to get started. Unfortunatly a lot (by a lot I mean most) NAPA stores are privatly owned so they try to screw people and there is not much we can do about it.
My store (yes thats right my NAPA store) I train my people that unless they are trying to scam us and its apparently obvious or it is obvious that the person is an idiot and the problem with the part was caused by their own negligence or stupidity, or if they install something to find out if it was not the problem and then want to return a used part, customer satisfaction comes first. You can always throw the Customer Satisfaction clause that all NAPA stores are supposed to have, being "If for any reason you are not completely satisfied you may return any part for refund or exchange." Unfortunatly a few stores can make a whole corperation look bad.
If you really have problems with a particular store and I can give you the number of who to get ahold of. I can pretty much garauntee the store will hear about it.
Its more personal preference and experience how everything went. I use to get a lot of things their but not anymore. We have two of them in town so IF I have to go their I go to the good one. Well the one in Mandan makes NAPA look bad then.

I recommend the Purolator PureOne or Wix (haven't tried the gold, sorry Nykon).
Around 100mph you should notice that your oil pressure fluctuates when you let off the throttle slightly (it will be noticeable) if you use the K&N. It also runs too close to the High Limit for my taste.
The Purolator PureOne (Wix or by Nykon's word, the NAPA Gold) filter works GREAT with Semi or Full Synthetics. The engine just gives back a "comforting" response and feeling, so to speak. Oil pressure remains normal. At 100mph (yes I actually test my oil pressure at that speed. It CAN be done safely), the pressure is about 1/6 from the top of the NORMAL area.
This we all explained to Sweetbring (if you can find MY mini-novel post, qoute it and insert it please SB) when he first started having his Oil Pressure problems/questions.
Also you can not neglect the quality of the oil. I do not recommend the house brand unless it happens to be a Mobil1 factory. There may be companies (doubt it though) that carry a GOOD oil with their sticker slapped on it but it's usually whatever oil is just a few cents higher in price. Example: Advance Auto Parts brand oil is really the OLD Havoline formula (they recently discontinued their formula and are working on a new one). I almost had a heartattack when i saw a quart of Havoline 10w-40 in my trunk and a Fram oil filter on my engine after I got my current Avenger. I didn't wait the month I had left until it needed it, I had to perform emergency surgery at THAT moment.
Wix and NAPA Gold are pretty much the same thing. Wix is actually changing the NAPA packaging to a plain brown box on the filters we don't display out front because it is less expensive.
