xenon bulbs are like a sandwich. if you don't use the right parts or combination the taste will be terrible.

The HID kits actually use LESS voltage than regular xenon and halogen bulbs. On the first second or so of fireup they use more voltage but after that they use less than your standard bulb. They also run a lot cooler. THe typical HID bulb only consumes 35 watts of power, so any factory wiring would be suitable. Go to www.pilothid.com, I put a 6000K HID kit in for my lowbeams, works awesome and it was a pretty easy install.
