Ceramic off the tip will break off and fall into your cylinder, so... you will have a little peice of ceramic bouncing around causing pits and damage to the piston head and cylinder walls.
Is this an extremely common/known problem? Could the ceramic not fall off of any plug and do the same thing? Or is this something that is typically associated with Bosch plugs? I mean, if I were to contact the manufactor about it—after building some evidence to back my argument—would I be able to get something out of it? Until now, I've never heard anyone complain about these plugs. Of course, spark plugs aren't usually the topic at hand during most of my conversations.
Also, are any of the symptoms I posted earlier something to look out for? I'd just like to know what I may need to keep an eye/ear out for since I haven't had any noticeable problems with them thus far.
I know how ya feel on this, Ivan. I hate it when I read something like this and the whole time I'm thinking; dangit, I've already got that or done that to my car! Ah well, you live, you learn. Won't be done again. Better to learn—and be able to correct in the future—and be thought a fool, than to not learn and be known an ignoramus.
