not trying to say what y'all are saying about the bosch 4+ plugs is all bogus or anything, but I've got them and don't seem to be experiencing any noticeable problems. what are some of the noticeable problems the bad plugs present? significantly bad gas mileage? sporatic engine stall? rough idling and/or crusing? are there any signs i might should look out for to make sure i don't have a dud set?

i'm just curious. b/c if they truely are as bad as y'all are saying i will def look into replacing them.

Ceramic off the tip will break off and fall into your cylinder, so... you will have a little peice of ceramic bouncing around causing pits and damage to the piston head and cylinder walls.

How long should you wait to change plugs?  How about the life of the car?  These are from a Neon that I was working on.  It had all types of issues.  One old one new.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

ok look at it this way guys:

when the air/fuel mixture enters your chamber it has to be going throught the spark "area" of the plug. you want this area to be as OBSTRUCTION free as possible.

Normal plug
                     air/fuel                                       electrode                      air/fuel
             ====>           I         ====>

Bosch +4
                     air/fuel                                           electrode                     air/fuel

             ====>           _I_       ====>
    ====>             I         ====>

ok, now if your mixture is obstructed by 3 additional things, your combustion efficiency is drastically reduced resulting in LESS combustion and possibly having your engine knock.
the only way you'll be able to slightly counteract this is to increase your spark (possibly burning a hole in your piston top) or by indexing your plugs [ http://asog.net/content/view/19/25/ ]
that link is at the top of the page. often overlooked. pun intended.

make any sense?

Honestly people, just use regular NGK copper core.  The ONLY benefit to platinum or irridium plugs is longevity.  I would rather have a better firing plug that I have to change every 40k miles than one that doesn't fire as well that lasts for 100k

Hmmmm... that could possbly explain my seldom engine knocking, which i wasnt able to relate to anything

Ok so if I do wanna ditch the 4tip sparks, which new spark plugs do i need to get? (remember that i am on east coast, might not have what u guys have)
