68 Cougar
« on: December 17, 2006, 12:45:35 AM »

While at work today, I went to a guys house and saw what looked like the roof line of a Mustang in a garage.  Before I left I asked the guy if it was a 68 Mustang.  He said no, it's a Cougar and asked if I'd like to see it.  I went back there, expecting to see a 68 being restored to a pristine '68.  I'm all about speed and fun.  Restoring a car is fun, keeping a car in perfect condition to trailer to shows is not.  The color was amazing, but the first thing I noticed was a new Ford SVT 4.6 V8.  I got a bit excited.  A bit of a power house.  I asked him what his plans were for the car.  He said he was going to make it look beautiful.  Store it until World Of Wheels, show it.  Then beat the excrement out of it.  I died.  It was great.  He's building the car to be a daily, with track potential.  The closest I could find for a color match was this

The front ends do have something VERY tough about them.  The dude was cool about it though.  He also had a 500 GT in the garage.  Shelby's rule.

ill tell u what it is about the grill..its the same thing that makes a masked villain more intimidating, u dont know what lies beneath the mask. the lights are hidden (and in this case the lights simulate the "eyes"-they're both optic related) seemingly by metals from which the jaws of life itself cannot rescue u. .... ok enough of the breakdown. i love the no light look, hence blackouts n all that stuff. that cougar is nice man Cool

After Taxes, I'm going to see how much cash I have and I might purchase one instead of getting Venge parts.

I might do that too.  If I can find a cheap enough Cougar.  Found some on eBay under a grand.
