im gonna be keeping my ac...there is a kit to get power using the ac...and i will formulate one..
lookin forward to it, im first on the list for that for my other car but for now its no ac for me. i never use the damn ac anyway, its the middle of summer and we wanna be cold? no frickin thanks, put the windows down and enjoy.
To each their own, but I do agree w/ Ken, I like it hot. And are you talking about the A/C cooling the intake air? I've seen it done, but not with the A/C. I forgot what they called it. I think it was like a C02 purge kit to cool off the engine.
i have a racing intake filter..no cleaning ever..its made of metal...kinda like mesh..but more like a filter. metal retrieves heat like a lab..so if i have a cold air box combined w/ a short intake..less time for the air to get warm, but plenty of time to get cold...combined w/ higher octane fuel...there should be a lot of power. i came up w/ it b/c since im N/A, and cant compress air, i can make it colder..and that should compress it. the colder..the more compressed. combined w/ w turbo, thats a sick amount of air going in.
oh that sucks..fortunately for me there are none here...just asphalt..how about smoking tire's from burnouts?...well...that would penetrate any filter i suppose.
well i meant inspection in a different way but, how do you NOT have inspection??? I thought all fifty states had at LEAST that?. wow....that would make my life a hell of a lot easier.
ok this is DEFINITELY not fair...NY is like buddy buddy w/ cali, so its terrible here..man i wish i lived in the outcountry...well..then again i'd miss having everything w/in walking distance. i guess there's always a trade off.
You can still get ticketed for not having a CAT though. I got pulled over in Salina for loud exhaust, and he asked me if I had a CAT or not. F*ck him! No inspection, no ticket. Fortunatly he let me go, because I just played stupid, and acted like I had no idea what he was talking about. Back to the question: A/C or no? what do you think? I really don't use it unless I have to drive my woman somewhere on long trips.
I do kinda don't like the idea of global warming, it's bad for the planet, but I love to drive my car. So WTF!! is the Gov. worried about making low emission cars, if we have no inspections?
theres no inspection required in florida either so that was noce (nice, thanks spell check ) when i lived there
as far as a/c goes, i say take it out if thats what you want to do! its your f-in car not hers!! do what you want to do with it, thats the way it should be.
