'99 Sebring Convertible, 2.5L V6, 107k miles. The car has been making a slight hesitation during driving and at idle, like a millisecond loss of power, very intermittently. I tuned it up, replacing cap, rotor, plugs (platinum NKG), PCV valve, valve cover and spark plug tube gaskets (oil in tubes), bottle of Injector Cleaner in gas tank. Still had the same problem, so I took it to Advance Auto. The code reader reported the following: "No faults detected. DTC Pending code: P1294, Manufacturer Contrl, Fuel Air Metering." Searching through the forums I have arrived at the following possibilities: Throttle Body leak (check with carb cleaner), Throttle body dirty (clean), Vacuum line leak (inspect lines), or Idle Air Control Valve (clean or replace). I don't think a dirty Fuel Filter would cause this very intermittent problem. One code website reported the condition as: "Injector High Side Open - Bank 2/Target idle not reached".
Am I headed in the right direction?
