im considering making headers....im doing myself a set..but im only halfway through the first one due to lack of time....anyway, im practicing my welding and if this goes well, i will basically just make a few more.
Trevor, take pics of your headers please, and e-mail them to me: redstar_gearhead@yahoo.com I'm doing research on 6G7 headers, and I'm trying to get enough info together to buy for myself, and get a link for other people to follow. If this works it can make alot of the guys here happy.

those headers look good...gr8wite...ur lucky...i would bid on them, but no need to battle with a fellow member ...well...my exhaust manifolds are basically destroyed lol...i took the front one off and couldnt bare to put it back on so i cut em up ...i decided anything else would be better. hopefully i can get mine to work!
Man WTF?? I want headers as much as the next Avenger owner, but WTF can we not just get someone to just make more instead of us battling it out for 1 set!!?? It's obvious there are very few of these so they are going to be worth a fortune until we get more made. I know there are many other Avenger owners out there that are not on ASOG that want them too. If I can get some back-up we might be able to get somethingthat can substitute them. MAKE MORE HEADERS !!
obviosly its harder then you think. not trying to bad mouth a lot of people here but it just seems like your trying to find the easy way out. an individual person can make a set by themselves BUT theres a lot more work to it then you think. if it was really easy everyone would have a pair. you need mandrel bent pipe, airtight welds, perfect fit, a downpipe to go with it, i cant even name all the stuff you have to go through. the fact of the matter is there probably will be another group buy WHEN SOMEBODY TRYS HARD ENOUGH. until then the sets that members have for sale are your only choice. once you find a place to make them you still need to get enough people who will join ( a lot will back out due to money and they 99% won't pass emissions). then get the money up front. its a lot of work. just get lucky. you got to pay to play and its not going to be cheap. .....just turbo the sob
buy those..there's your pattern, now start making copies. that would be easier, but i think everyone here understands how difficult it is. it's not like turboing it is gonna be any easier than getting headers made. they pop up on ebay and the dreaded asec every once in a while.
ill look into this some more. of course making them is hard..buying and modifying is expensive...the stock manifolds looks like something ford looked at and threw out in the fifties....

that's what I'm talking about !!...... however, I am working on research with other products that are just similiar and we can possibly modify and substitute. I need to know how many o2's do '95 model A/S have? and would o2 sensor position "super" affect header performance? if it was off by just a few inches up or down the pipe? I think if it were up the pipe it's sensor would lean out fuel, too far down and it would en-rich fuel mix, all due to the sensors oxygen reading.
the location for all years are the same. So that would make it nice if you made them.
'95 V6 2.5L Oxygen Sensor locations
Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Rear exhaust manifold Bank 2 Sensor 1 - Downpipe shortly after the downpipe bolts up to the front exhuast manifold.
'96-00 V6 2.5L Oxygen Sensor locations
Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Rear exhaust manifold Bank 2 Sensor 1 - Downpipe shortly after the downpipe bolts up to the front exhuast manifold. Bank 1 Sensor 2 - Downpipe right after the flange where the downpipe bolts to the reat exhaust manifolds Bank 2 Sensor 2 - Downpipe shortly after the first flex-section and before the downpipe connects to the rear exhaust manifold
So the '95's have only 2? and I know the '96-00 have 4. Sroufe7, JBI & I have done some searching on the 'net and I think I found something that we can substitute for genuine Avenger headers. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you some pics I found.
