wussup yall.... here's my problem... my 98 avenger has a sunroof, therefor, i have NO dome light, so i tried to hook up one of my own... i got a white led neon, like 8 inches, and mounted it pretty much between the visors, in front of the sunroof...i ran the wire under the headliner, and down the down the left/driver side pillar, and down the left side of the dash, to under the dash, under the center console to the cig' lighter LED...and hooked it up to a toggle switch with a blue LED... so that way, the dome light would only work at night, when i turned on my headlights... sounds good right?!? it'z workin great for like a week, until i decide that i wanna switch out the toggle switch for a rocker switch witha blue LED...and it works when i try it out... than that night...nothing happened! the next day, i go to fiddle with it, and still nothing, then that night my dash didn't light up, or center console! i switched out fuses, and nothing... then the airbag light 'SRS' comes on...and STAYS on... so i'm getting no light from the dash or the center console... the radio still works, but when the headlights are on...it dims down... a mechanic said it wuz probably a broken wire dome where...he also said he'd charge me $120 to take a look at it...so after i drove away quickly... i checked the fuse block under the dash and tried to switch out fuses there, but i think i put some back in the wrong place... so what i'm asking for is a possible solution for my non lighting dash... AND a picture of the fuse block lid under the dash showing what is supposed to go where... PLEASE!!!!!!
Wow, your name is definitly adequate. Sounds like you over powered the circuit for you cigs LED. You should've wired it up to either the dimmer switch or the actual headlight switch. Take the wire off of the LED. I'm at work so I can't get you a pic of the fuse box, but your owner manual SHOULD (not saying it will) have something in there for your fuse box. If you're anywhere near Green Bay, WI I'll help you with it tomorrow.

"Wow, your name is definitly adequate." i get that ALOT haha!! i'm new to wiring stuff, as in lights n such...i've already un-installed the whole thing, and still no change, and i don't have the owners manual... :'-( and i wish i was close to greenbay, cuz ur car is crazy! im not even a fan of the color red... but YOUR car...man! i'm reconsidering! but i'm columbia, SC...and there aren't too many hooked up avengers in the area...just tint and rims, and they all look corny...and i appreciate the help
Thanks for the props! Anyone near you with some wiring experience should be able to tell you what went wrong. I don't have the six, so I don't know if my fuse set up is the same as yours. But I'll take a pic and post it anyway when I get home.
Re-trace your steps to find out what happened. Maybe you pulled a wire out of place. If the SRS light is on you could've hit your Air Bag wire, (can be very bad, if you send any load to it, it'll blow so be VERY careful). If you have no or little light, you probably are grounding out somewhere.

I'm in western NC near Asheville. I've been going to school for electronics engineering. Haven't had a class in over a year though . and my car is the same color as Darktengu's I'll take a look at my fuse-box lid later tonight and see what all is supposed to be on the same circuit as the cig and I'll let you know.
as far as i know, i didn't reset anything... but it's a possibility... ...what would i had to have done to reset it, and IF that's what it is... how do i correct it??
