Soon I will drop my tranny to install an Exile Racing torque converter and a LSD. Anybody know if there is an aftermarket light-weight flywheel?

if you have a LSD.. then you are automatic.. and you have a flex plate.

And to my knowledge i have not seen aluminium flexplates or anything like that.

I run a 1" larger flexplate and torque converter...

I don't have the LSD right now, but I'm looking for one.  I don't plan on doing this for a while, but I want to be prepared. I know I need a new flexplate for mounting purposes, so why 1" larger? From what I understand it can be a stock flexplate, but just needs to be replaced??? Why would the flexplate have to be replaced anyway? Where would I get one that will work? Don't just say salvage.....

i meant... you didnt specify you were 5spd(which uses a flywheel) but you mentioned a LSD.. so i assumed you were automatic. So you would have a flexplate instead of a flywheel.

I got 1" larger flexplate and converter when i did my high stall. Just a tad stronger thats all. And allowed for larger lockup

Oops!  Shocked Guess trannies are the least area of my knowledge.  So, where do I get a new flexplate 1" larger? and wouldn't that make it heavier? I always knew I would have to do this, but I never fully understood what kind of flexplate to get.   Huh I have a '96 V6 Avenger.
