Getting the right flexplate???
« on: October 28, 2006, 01:19:46 AM »

I recently purchased an Exile Racing 2500 stall torque converter.  On their website store.exileracing.com it states that the '95-96 models require a new flexplate. I think that can be vague.  What does this refer to? What kind of flexplate? Someone else said that I should get one 1" larger than current flexplate, why? If I can't use my flexplate, where do I get one?

dude it's right on their site

You will have to eiter modify your existing flexplate to accept the 90 degree pattern, or purchase a 90 degree flexplate for an additional 50 dollars. Modification is as simple as rounding out one hole which is half round on the stock flexplate.
