Has anyone ever been pistol-whipped when stopped. Yes,.... they have pulled their guns on me. How about when they think you are getting an "attitude or being a smart-ass"?  Angry Angry Angry all I did was state what I did, and he was abolutely positive I was doing something else, and I had an attitude problem.

Angry  and i dont think you can get in trouble just for sayin sh*t to cops.  ive ran my mouth to cops a bunch of dif times cause we with our "fancy" cars are profiled and harassed, and im not in jail yet.  oh well, maybe ive just been lucky but im so sick of it.

Todd: well, yeah, i was just standing, my car was still running and i was just waiting for my mom when the cop pulled behind me
I dont want anyone to take offense, but sometimes the things ppl get away w/ and the things i get ticketed for, it makes me feel like there's a reason beyond what i was actually doing that caused me to get the ticket..if u kno what i mean. but w/e, ill just bend over backwards for the law and see how far they lean over on me.

ok first of all the whole suspended  thing is bull. if the state cant be responsible enough to inform drivers of the status of there liscense then it shouldnt be our problems. i got arrestred cause of the same thing. faught it in court and won. i sued the dmv, the cop that harrassed me(beet the excrement out of me while i was in handcuffs) then i turned around and sued six flags cause there the whole reason this excrement happened anyway. i won it all got about 400,000 $ out of the mix and paid of all my debts. i know this world is currupt but if you guys wunna kee[p letting the courts taking your money go ahead but if you didnt do anything wrong then fight it cause theres always someone above someone that you can go to.

Sueing people is a profession of the future.   Physical labor will be obsolete, we will just sue everyone to get paid. Lawyers will be even richer.....  F**k that! I work for my money.  Sue me.... any you will recieve a fistful of pi$$ed off, smash-your-face, make you-gush-blood violence.  Sorry!! Grin

I know I'm the minority here, but the laws are written and as drivers we're liable if we break them.  I break them daily and I NEVER shrug off responsibility if I knew I was breaking the law.  When cops are authority tripping pricks they deserve to lose their jobs.  But I hate hearing people complaining about actual cops doing the job

don't feel bad. I had a probe and was crossing traffic and couldn't see the oncoming lane with all the SUVs that were blocking my view so i chanced it. the far lane had a fox body mustang (which happened to be the mother of the next guy) so i had to STOP. then my lane had a Grand Cherokee Laredo which did NOT touch his brakes whatsoever. My best friend is in the passenger so i can't just let him die. as soon as the stang is past i flooooooooor it and the Laredo *clips* my tail light thankfully only shattering it. on his front bumper are 3 scuff marks (take your first 3 fingers and run your nails straight down for 1 inch in some butter and that's what it looked like.), on my taillight is a busted lense. the officer tickets me for not having my insurance card on me (kitchen table, just renewed). i go down to the Municipal to pay the $45 fine. Fine paid no prob. 1 year later i get pulled over for doing 60 in a 45 (was doing 56) and the officer tells me that my lic is suspended. what happened? that woman that took my fine payment a year earlier, TOOK my payment. Cost me $60 to get them restored. My grandmother cussing out the Calhoun Police Dept is the reason they now give out reciepts for tickets paid.  Grin

I agree with Dark. Ppl need to start taking responsiblity for their actions. I'm not necessarily talking about the ppl in this tread, but just in general. There's just WAY too much of this "I blame it on society" crap going on rite now. It's not always someone else's fault. I believe in placing blame where blame belongs. whether that be a lil on me, a lil on you, a lil on him or all on me, blame should go where it belongs. But now, let's face it, there are a LOT of corrupt, authority abusing cops out there that like to do stuff just "because they can." And those are the ones that should be reported and, hopefully, fired.

As far as the not letting you know your lisence is suspended. Well, that's just beat up. How are you to know something like that if they don't bother to tell ya?  Roll Eyes

I agree, I also know when I was breaking the law. Like last time I got caught, I knew I was speeding and he got me. But there have been times where I was absolutely unaware of doing any wrong.  I wasn't speeding, nor any wreckless driving, nor any "speed-demon crazy race car driving",  just driving as I would normally.  Any moron can should be able to tell when they've done wrong.

I don't remember what you said you got suspended for, but I know when I lost my license (most of the times) I knew it.  Even with out a letter I knew I had to be over the point limit.  But I did lose my license once over a misunderstanding (my insurance company sent the DMV a letter saying I cancelled when I never did.  It was my name they sent but it was a Danielle Degraves, I'm Daniel Graves) and that one pissed me off when I got the ticket.

oh...i was suspended b/c they passed a new law right around the time i got my ticket...that says if u have a certain amount of points on ur license..u will be charged $300. i heard nothing of this $300 until almost a year later when i found out my license had been suspended for the past six months..i paid right away, but that didnt help..well it knocked $50 off so i paid $255 instead. I didnt know about the law either..and the judge never told me of the additional fine...so...there was no way for me to know...especially when i cancelled insurance on my sebring cuz i was takin it off the road to cancel it..and dmv threatened to suspend my license if i didnt turn my plates in. i did asap...so how can they threaten to suspend a license..that is already suspended???
