Yes, that's right, fog lights. I had my fog lights on in town on cruise night w/ my factory equivalent stereo system on and I got pulled over. He got me for fog lights on, stereo system too loud, and modified exhaust.  Angry

I'll have to say, a lot of those seem to be horsesh*t to me. Especially the fog lights part. How in the world are fog light illegal for crying out loud?!? That's just stupid.

But I too am guilty of doing some idiotic stuff in my younger days. Had some jackass pass me in the median once and I guess I flipped out. I chased him down and had just gotten around him when the blue lights started flashing in my rearview. Caught doing 90 in a 55. The crazy thing is, I told the cop exactly what happened and he let me off with a verbal warning (didn't try to lie my way out of it, I'm always straight up honest with them—no need to lie at that point). Didn't even bother to write up a ticket or anything.

Oh, btw, honesty IS usually the best policy when it comes to talking with a cop from your driver's seat. I've never lied to a cop about why I was being stupid and got caught, and have only recieve tickets for approx. 3 outta the 10 to 15 times I've been stopped.

Also, I think it's bulljive when I see cops pulling ppl for the exact same things I see them doing around here all the time… like riding in the left lane, changing lanes w/o using a signal, speeding, etc. And I see them doing it almost everytime I see a cop too! Kinda hard to be taken seriously as an enforcer of the very laws you're seen breaking. They enforce the law, they are NOT above it!

yeah, i got pulled over on my doorstep basically once. cop had followed me and said i didnt put my turn signals on when i made one of those turns...im like..what a f*cking liar!. i saw him following my, y would i intentionally NOT put my blinker on? i get pissed at ppl for doing it sometimes...they will randomly slow down in front of u...for no reason..and just when they're about to turn. THATS when they put it on...esp. when they put it on  like a mile before they're exit though...it aggravates me..plus im short tempered. but anyway, i didnt get a ticket for not using my blinker...which i have seen half of cops NOT use.

Once you get out of your car at your destination you should be free.  I've actually be ticketed in my own drive-way.  I was in Pryor, OK & Vinita, OK & Tahlequah, OK.  Here in OK it's like they look for the most bull-$hit reasons to pull people over especially at the end of the month.  Those fog-lights were Sylvania SilverStar's in factory assemblies.  I also see the same things go unpunished all the time, but if you look like a "suspicious race car" that means YOU ARE GUILTY.  No, I didn't fight it, cause I've heard to many cases were the judges will actually make the fines higher than your posted ticket.

yeah, w/ traffic violations, its easier to just plead guilty sometimes, then they will just give u the minimum fine. its all a bunch of bs. i was "standing" in a fire lane while waiting for my mom to get out of the store, a cop  i had seen coming a ways away pulled up behind me..blew some horn thing real loud...so im like ok?? i moved and then his lights started flashing..n i was pulled over. got a ticket for "parking" in a fire lane. and also driving w/ a suspended license...im like wtf?...my license isnt suspended...anyway, came to find out it was...i had six points on my license and in ny they JUST passed the law..right around the time i got the ticket, if u have six points on ur license, u have to pay three bills...this info was NOT passed on to me...so my license was suspended in jan. and i didnt find out till july...when the cop told me...i still had to pay $255. a whole f*cking paycheck for something that wasnt even my fault.

yeah, i've been pulled in my driveway b4 as well. i shoulda told that mofo-ing cop that he was trespasing and to remove himself from my property. but i was a teen at that time and was kinda in shock that he actually pulled into the yard behind me. plus he prob woulda went and got a warrant or something.

but BringIt, i can't say i actually feel any sympathy for ya on the fire lane thing. that's a pet-peev of mine. i get so tired of ppl parking in the fire lane, i don't care if you're only gonna be there for 5 seconds or 5 hours, it's just slap illegal and endangering to the ppl's in the store lives. the thing that gets me is most ppl that do it, do it cuz they are just to freaking lazy—nay, sorry—to walk from a parking space. and we wonder why america is the most obese country on our planet?!? and to one up it, some ppl have the audacity to park directly in front of the door! not to mention the fact that if the building did happen to catch on fire while their car was parked there, the fire dept will just ram the car outta the way and, guess what, insurance will never pay out for that. but i guess it all comes back to our wonderful example setters (aka cops). i can't count how many i've seen parked in the fire lane or on the sidewalk right in front of dept stores.
i'd have to agree with ya on the fact that the cop was kinda a jerk about how he handled that situation, tho.
hold on tho, i just re-read your post. were you just standing there are were you parked there in a car? b/c if you were just standing there, that's some straight up bulljive! i'd told that cop he could kiss my arse, unless i was standing under a no loitering sign  Smiley.

ok, 1 & 2 are just flat out stupid. what kinda retarded a** laws are being passed? well, i guess if you're actually making the car go up and down while going down the hwy, that is a lil dangerous, so i retract the number 2 being stupid. but "illegal bumper height"??

that's cool that they got dropped tho.

Unless the bumper is high enough to take your head off at the neck, c'mon.
like todd said, unless your using hydraulics on the highway like you  see in some rap videos, an adjustable suspension is something that must be adjusted while the car is in PARK or stopped. I don't think you're really gonna be doing 75 down the freeway with a grease monkey hanging onto your fender adjusting your coilovers and struts. lol

I had a 1g Talon a few years back with a full 2.5" exhaust (louder than stock but not THAT loud). I was pulled over b/c my exhaust was too loud. That as to be the dumbest violation since semi-trucks, muscle cars and motorcycles are allowed on the road.

I am guessing too low, not too high.  I know in oregon the body of your car has to be equal or higher than the lowest point of your rims.
