Did you try to fight the whole thing, especially the judge not filling you in on the extra fine?

i never tried fighting it once...i simply dont have the time.  Undecided. im a poor college student working full time to pay bills so when NY sees an opportunity to make some money off a poor individual trying hard, they do what they can to squeeze a lil. i learnt that if i fight it, i'd never win..then again i might've i just dont have the threats about the dmv suspending my license due to not turning my plates in. i was moving and a whole bunch of bs, so i lost them. maybe i'l contact a lawyer and find out what can be done...as of current, $100 is due to the state on the 21st of november and then the same amount sometime nex year...they give u three years to pay it off..so $300 = $100 per year. i figure its just a scam and they will get their money no matter what. but everything evens itself out..somehow someway im going to get the cash flowing in the other direction..   Embarrassedhopefully.

It's like that in OK too, only they harass everybody that's innocent, and let the true crimes everywhere else go unpunished.  How many crimes go unpunished?.........who knows? More than I can count.

I personally believe that many more people commit traffic violations, just that they get away w/ it because of the mood the cop is in at the time.  And I believe cops are guilty of vehicle profiling.  Just because I have a fancy looking car, means that they will chase ME more than someone who is driving a Geo Metro, Ford Taurus, or Buick LeSabre, even if they are just as guilty.  It's called discrimination. (but I'm not saying I'm not guilty)

yea, it wasn't going through the RED LIGHT, it was the fancy car  Roll Eyes

the fact that the car is "different" means the driver thinks differently, and therefore MEANINGFULLY ran the redlight..unlike the poor grandfather driving a buick..who get away only cuz they're old keeping their insurance down...
