He said it jerked though. If the motor just died and it is not a manual I am assuming because this is under v6 tech then there should be no jerking. I could be wrong but if the motor isnt turning the tourqe converter at enough rpms then it will have no affect on the transmission. Since the motor died then there is no rpms to lock up the TC so there shouldnt be any jerking. right?
nah just cause its an automatic doesnt mean it cant jerk. I know when my crank sensor went out.. i had some jerking along with the car shutting off at 65 mph(now thats freaky)... and then all of a sudden start again while rolling at 50mph.. ...lol..at least it wasnt 11:30 at night, u didnt lose ur headlights..and u werent going 75 mph and had to stop on the side of the road on the highway....a dark..loooonely highway...

If the car isn't turning over at all, and nothing is coming from the starter, then I'd check fuses, and relays. It's likely electrical if the starter won't engage. Man I love being right all the time

Good, not playing as aggressive as they usually do, but I'm happy with our record. It's not like my team is being called "the team that missed it"

Heres one. I had to replace the starter relay on my Dakota (took 1 week to diagnose) then a week later I pulled my truck up closer to the building at work and when I went outside I decided to check all my fluids. After everyone left it wouldn't crank. I thought "no prob", open the relays and switched one that i knew was good into the new starter spot. nothing. started freaking out then i thought "maybe...". pulled the shifter to 1st then back to park and it fired right up. Felt more stupid than most of my customers. lol
