Of course there is a ton of possible reasons for this. first....do u have the correct amount of oil/need an oil change? That would be the first thing i'd check. it def. sounds like a fluid problem, but u didnt say the radio was working so im assuming its not. which doesnt make any sense as ur other electricals work. no headlights either? are ur interior lights dimmer or vary from before? make sure u have all these checked. we can get into relays later...or until DT posts something to help u.

its not oil.. or any fluid...

if he was low on oil.. it would run and run until it seized. The oil level light would come on.. and probably be too late.

If it was trans fluid level low.. the car would rev but not move.

Its one of a few things...

MAP sensor (you should get a check engine light if this is it)

Crank sensor (no code triggered usually) Car cuts out while moving....if you are able to restart in 5-10 mins then this is probably it and you can rule out battery and alternator

or Battery/Alternator (a few voltage tests would tell you)

well i was thinking that it did seize...then it wont start for a while...yeah i kno its not a trans fluid level..the car would start w/o a problem if that was low...it wouldnt start at all... so...if u just replaced the battery, then check to make sure everything is connected right...u said u jumped it, and NOTHING happened...then ur connections would be the problem.

If the horn is blowing fine, then it's not likely the battery, after a couple of blows it'd be a quick burp.  I agree with sensors, but they get pricey.  Check for fuel up on the fuel rail, Burn or Bring should be able to give you a better idea about where the nozzle is to check.  Check your plugs, see if you're getting spark.  Alternator you can pull out and have tested for free.  Thank wouldn't be a bad idea, but if your headlights and horn work, and the battery or alternator were bad, the car died which means it's out of juice.  So I'd rule those two out.  Check your relays, again ask Burn or Bring where they're at.  You did check all you fuses right?  if an Accessory fuse blew, your car won't start.

If the car isn't turning over at all, and nothing is coming from the starter, then I'd check fuses, and relays.  It's likely electrical if the starter won't engage.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

wow, i cant believe i didnt think of that too! like dark said, def check fuses and relays first cause that very well could be your problem and if it is and it went to a shop they would charge you an arm and a leg to replace a fuse or relay and thats one of the stupidest problems to have (ive had it happen twice, car wouldnt start turned out to be no power to the starter cause of a frickin relay, what a dumb ass problem and my car almost went off a cliff cause of it)

He said it jerked though.  If the motor just died and it is not a manual I am assuming because this is under v6 tech then there should be no jerking.  I could be wrong but if the motor isnt turning the tourqe converter at enough rpms then it will have no affect on the transmission.  Since the motor died then there is no rpms to lock up the TC so there shouldnt be any jerking. right?

nah just cause its an automatic doesnt mean it cant jerk.

I know when my crank sensor went out.. i had some jerking along with the car shutting off at 65 mph(now thats freaky)... and then all of a sudden start again while rolling at 50mph..
