The 95-00 year avengers amd sebrings had 2.0 four bangers and 2.5 v6s ---- they started putting 2.7 in the last couple of years. its a mattter of opinion on which years are the best --- most ppl think the 95 is good while i fall into the group that think the 97 a/s was the best year. so far the biggest problem has been with the transaxle- very long drawn out story. the problem is overheating, burning up, whatever you want to call it but it has a heat issue. with the right precautions and proper maintenance these transmissions last forever.
well i dont know much about sebring, i have a 3s twin turbo, my wife is looking and she called and said it was a 2.7 well i get home 2 night and its actually a 2.5 97 sebring lxi coupe loaded (leather n all that with 72k)
so at first i was concerned i know the 00 models had trouble with 2.7
i just check with a friend, the convertibles have the 2.7 and if that is what he is talking about there were problems with 00 models but other years i don't know thats all she knew. she has the 01 and has yet to have a problem

i just didnt want her with the 00 2.7 engine cuz they had problems
