FS: Custom Cold Cathode (CCFL) Angel Eyes
« on: October 15, 2006, 01:06:48 PM »

Hello, my name is Danny and I'm known by XZiler8r online.  I live in Orlando, FL and I've been making custom angel eyes for my local car club (ASEC) for a while, mostly for the Avenger/Sebring platform.  I started making them LED based angel eyes, and now I'm starting to create Cold Cathode eyes as well for any car.

If anyone would like a pair of custom angel eyes please contact me.  I'm available to make white, green, blue & red at the moment.  Those are my cold cathode colors.

If you're interested in an LED base, the colors are; Blue, Green, Red, White, UV, Orange, Yellow, Pink & Aqua.

What you receive woud be a set of Angel Eyes, 1 for each headlight.  You receive 1 FT of black/red wire and you can add more yourself if you'd like.  You also receive full instructions on how to install them, including how to take apart your headlight.

I have received many good reviews from people I have made them for.  If you'd like go to www.aseclub.net and go into the forums and search my name and you'll see my feedback on the FS forums.

Prices are as follows:
Set of Cold Cathode Angel Eyes including shipping - $100.00
Set of LED based Angel Eyes including shipping - $65.00

PayPal: dannyveiga@bellsouth.net

Money order or check please contact me for address information

What's the difference between the Cathode and the LEDs?

I would assume that cathode would give a solid color look (like neon) as were LED would give you hot spots, DISCLAIMER- but I know nothing of of which I speakĀ  Grin

I told you that I had no idea ...................

here is his quote I found on ASEC.

"Cold cathodes are MUCH more lasting as in life span, they're more brighter and they use less voltage as well than LED's. They're just overall better"

Exactly.  The Cold cathodes are MUCH brighter, as you can see in the pictures.  The LED's sometimes have hotspots, but it depends how it's done.  They're not AS bright, but they're nice too.  It all depends if you want something really bright or not.

If you dont want them so bright, I'd go with the LED's.  As far as I know theres no way to put a dimmer switch on em, I haven't looked into it.
