tranny pan gasket
« on: October 14, 2006, 02:47:54 PM »

I'm in the process of changing my filter. Last time I used a cork gasket on the pan but the dealer today said they didn't list a gasket and it needed sealant. When I dropped my pan the filter fell right out which made me wonder if the gasket kept the filter from being seated correctly since it drops the pan about an 1/8 in?

Should I put it back together with sealant or find a new cork gasket?

Some quick advice would be appreciated
thanks
Brian
