'97 bumper on '96 car
« on: October 11, 2006, 06:27:00 PM »

I have a '96, I'm wanting to put a '97 model bumper, headlights, & clear turn signals on.  Anybody know if they can be bolted on directly.  I've done some research and bumper brackets are the same.  Can everything hook-up from a '97 to a '96?  Huh Anybody?

Does this include 96 sebring to 97 and up sebrings. in terms of swapping front bumpers? and does anyone think this is cheaper or more expensive overall then a viper kit front bumper.... im talkin paint labor etc. cuz my sebring front bumper is cracked at the bottom and it's rather embarrasing to drive... also mine is that teal green color

Yes it includes the sebring ...The 97+ sebring is pricey from the dealer unless you find a junkyard one

You have to have newer headlights and turns signals though.  The front bumper on the newer ones are more aerodynamic.  If you do this w/o the headlights it might look funny or not even fit w/ the turns.  Try checking them out on ebay, they are cheap there.  Aftermarket OEM style bumpers can be acquired though most body shops at less than OEM price. Unless you go salvage.

yes the 97+ will bolt right up .... obvious the foglights will not work ... you'll need 97+ headlight and turns

Well not to be rough on your first post (congrats and welcome by the way) a '99 and an '01 are two different cars.  The 1g Avenger ended in 00 like JBI said. The '01 was the Stratus coupe and my best bet is there's no way it would fit.

Hood is exactly the same between 96 and 97+ but yeah, the radiator supports are another part.
