tell me about it, when i first started driving gas was like 1.20, i could make $5 in gas last all week if i had to. now a 5 spot wouldnt even last a day
man, i feel old. when i first started driving gas was in the 70¢ range.
yeah, we do have some of the cheapest gas by comparison. i think a lotta places in europe have been paying upwards of around $5/gal for years now. and i keep telling ppl that gas is bound to come back down… look at the 70s, it was about this much then and then came the late 80s and 90s and it was cheap as a mofo. but BringIt, you're rite. when something changes that drastically (not to mention in that short a period of time) it does tend to put a shock to everyone's system. i don't think the prices sky-rocketed that quickly in the 70s… i could be wrong tho, i only caught the latter part of them—and i def wasn't driving then.

lol...when did u get ur license??..back in the seventies my mom was in about middle school an I think im old...an btw, with the way things are going, within the next couple decades we will need to have been weaned off gas. we NEED an alternative fuel source due to environmental destruction of gasoline....and crude diesel. I was working on an engine design that will be extremely efficient..a lot more than 100% for starters...it seems feasible enough in that the efficiency is there, just the design has to be precise and cannot be off a cinch. just so u guys arent in the dark..its a magnetic theory basically.
ive heard bout that, im sure its a lil bit dif concept but they use magnetig propulsion for trains somewhere. i believe its in japan. thats a good idea tho, lets hope it works out and maybe we can save this lil planet of ours.
yes, the magnet train IS in japan, goes pretty fast too. the tracks are magnetized....train flies a couple or so inches above the tracks. smooth idea huh?..i dont completely understand the concept of that train and the way it works, but yeah, i believe mine's a diff one snce the engine would have to be magnetized in some form...its basic right now w/ no real roots, but ill be working on it some more.

is a couple of inches off the track?

yeah, it doesnt actually touch it, so ride is very very smooth. I was thinking of the same concept for seat cushioning...or suspension.. a magnetic suspension where a magnetic field separates the chassis from the body, or not entirely in that manner, but somehow integrated. i guess u could call it the feeling of "riding on air."

doing that for a suspension would be pretty awesome. make for very few moving parts for wear-n-tear, but may prove to be somewhat unsafe since the car will be basically hovering above the chasis/tires. but i guess that's where a safety mechanism will come into place, huh.
also, i hope you can come up with a more effecient engine model, and that the gov't will allow you to produce it . you'll put a hurtin on some car shops and dealerships if you do. not to mention the producers of whatever type of fuel me may be using at that time.
oh yeah, btw, i got my license in the mid-90s… gettin older, but not decrepit yet

yeah lol, im pretty excited about it. As soon as I start making some money ill be funding it and basically making it in my garage. and gas pump companies would be pretty hurt too. ...so yeah, i do have a list of future projects other than my car.
Karma for doing your part to try-n-preserve this wonderful lil planet we've been blessed with. We all need to do something to keep it going. Take, but give back. Only use what you need. Our society is way too wasteful.
About that link. We seriously need to implement some sorta population control like China or something. Obviously ppl don't understand the concept behind BIRTH control. But I guess in a society where a baby is nothing more than a paycheck to a lotta ppl, you can't expect too much, huh.
