I ran across the DSMtuner forum about using VR4 calipers and Audi A6 rotors and a 5mm spacer on the 2nd gen. eclipse. I made the bracket according to the author and i need to have this cut.
Does anyone have access or works with 1/2" steel? No welding, just cutting and drilling some holes..The shop machines at SJSU isn't really all that great... ( i could go with Aluminium, but i decided to go with steel) I would gladly compensate for the trouble.... please let me know if anyone can help out!!! I'll send out the AutoCAD file if anyone is interested....or post it somewhere...
We have stealth brakes on our 95 sebring and I don't remember Dave doing any fab work to put them on. Makes a huge difference in your braking power tho. It must be able to stop on a dime. I remember going to the junkyard and getting stealth brakes (could have been vr4) and rotors (it was a few years back and my memory sucks). I'll try and remember to ask him and get back to you.
The brakes that Jill is talking about is the NonTurbo Stealth brakes which are the same as the Eclipse/Talon turbo brakes. I do have access to a machine shop which is friend of the family that does very good work. If you want send me your autocad file to me. I beleive if you just need something cut that is 1/2inch my work can do it on their laser or plasma cutters.

Stealth =GSX brakes ...They require no updates ... The VR4 are larger diameter rotors and require larger wheels (won't clear 17's ) unsure about the Audi rotors listed ... They will also require TWO brake lines per caliper
Jaded silver had Porshe brakes done with aftermarket brackets ...He had VR4's before those
I know Jadedsilver tried it and spend alot of money. This guy from dsmtuner was able to use the caliper on 2nd Eclipse w/ a bracket, 5mm spacer and some nuts and bolts.
I got your file and I have it to the machinest today. He cleaned up the drawing and will let me know when its complete. They are going to cut it on the laser machine at work.
BTW where are you from?

Im in San Jose, CA. Im all ready to go except for that bracket.
I got the rotors from an A6 and im picking up the lines today. The guy on the DSMtuner dosen't specify which line he used, but from my search on other forums, a '92 GSX brake line should do the job since it has the correct fitting... (VR4 has screw-in type fitting, while Avenger has Banjo.)
I am in Canada....but i'll mail those out to you if you pay for shipping.
