I bought a stero system from a friend.

Right before we took it from his car and installed it in mine, we were listening to music on a cd..
Once we got the new deck in my car, the cd player wont play cs's.

Anyone have any ideas?

Could hooking something up wrong possibly cause this? (stock amp for infinity system not hooked up?)

You likely hooked the POWER ANTENNA lead to turn on the remote amp lead for the infinity amp ....
When you are on radio all works fine,The power antenna lead tirns off on CD's to retract the antenna ...
You need to connect the remote turn on lead (normally blue or blue white) to the white wire with black/or silver dots dependant on year

Well...

I pulled it out today and as of right now i have the blue amp wire hooked up to the blue amp wire coming from my deck, to get it to even play radio stations, i have to have the power antenna wire kooked into those 2 wires. So i have 3 wires all hooked together. But there is no poer antenna wire coming from my deck, so i dunno what to do. there is nothing to hook the antenna wire to.

Confused?

Cause i am. Undecided

No the power antenna (normally ORANGE) should NOT be connected ...You probably have it connected ...You need to connect the blue remote line to the infinity turn on line AND your sub amp ....

The wire is blue... It says power antenna on it, so i know thats what it is

but...when i dont have the wire connected i dont get ANY stations in..

so, i sould have the sub amp, infinity amp both hooked up to the deck? Then will i not need the power antenna?

What color should the infinity wire be?

Thanks again.

Roll Eyes Guess you really don't READ my post ...So HERE we go again ....
The Power antenna line is meant for the motorized antenna's (that go up and down) when the radio is on it has 12 volts ,when you switch to cd the line goes to 0 volts (causing the antenna to retract) Since it's connected to the infinity amp it causes NO SOUND on CD ....

You need to connect the head units remote turn on line (normally blue or blue with white stripe)
To the factory harness white wire with black or silver dots ....
