GS-T suspension parts
« on: November 30, 2005, 05:30:03 PM »

The:
-GS-T Rear Control Arms
-GS-T Anti-Roll Bars

I know Ive heard some guys using these parts on the avenger platform. My question is are they stronger, beefier, or in anyway what so ever better than our stock ones?

Are they applicable to both the i4 and V6? Plus how hard of an Install was it (IE: any modification needed?)

1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, GST, GST Spyder, Eagle Talon TSi, Avenger ES, Sebring LXi Stabilizer Bar Dimensions:

Front Bars:  factory     = 19mm     0.7500 inch

              RMDSM    = 20.6mm   0.8125 inch   (40% stiffer)

Rear Bars:   factory     = 15mm     0.5938 inch

              factory GS = 13mm      0.5120 inch

              RMDSM    = 17.5      0.6875 inch   (80% stiffer)

                                                     (250% for GS)

Looks like we have the same bars as the GST's so says RMDSM's website.

so your lookin at $120 in parts to get a base model set up for a rear sway bar (without buying the sway bar).

Then you can spend $42 for a stock rear bar, or splurge for the RMDSM bars.... your choice.

My choice.... splurge  Grin

If your car came equipped with a stock rear sway bar then you already have these parts.  If you own a base model that did not come with a factory rear sway bar stock, then you will need these control arms to add a rear sway bar.

The GST control arms are identical to the control arms on the avengers that came with a rear sway bar from the factory.

The GST rear sway bar is also identical to the avenger stock rear sway bar.

These are upgrades for base model avengers that did not have a factory installed sway bar only.

This is what Exile gave me for a parts list...

Part Desc.       Mitsu No.         Dodge No.        Approx. $
2 Cont.Arm      MB864728       MB864728       $45.00/ea.
2 End Links     MB892982       MB892982        $15.00/ea.
2 Brackets       MB515245       MB515245       $ 8.00/ea.
4 Nuts             MS440504       MS440504        $ 1.00/ea.
4 Bolts             MF241251       MBF241251     $ 1.00/ea.
2 bushings      mb303540                               $.97/ea.

(bushings are only needed if you are going to put a stock bar in)

Mitsu is going to be cheaper than dodge parts. Same parts, one less middle man...
