Turbo fitment question
« on: September 21, 2006, 12:29:48 PM »

I found a good deal on a PTE 50 trim, but it is off of a 4g63 (I have a 97 venge with the 420a).  If i am using a log-style manifold, the turbo will obviously be oriented differently and I think the oil feed/drain will be in the wrong place Huh.  Has anyone used a turbo setup for a 4g63 on a 420a?  I need to figure out if this will work.  Thanks

any turbo will work, you just need to do a little fabrication.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

Can you be more specific?  The drain line is gravity-feed so it won't work properly if it is turned sideways will it?  Is there a way to rotate of the turbine inlet with respect to the rest of the housing?

Without actually seeing everything it's hard for me to say.  You can put the turbo in any way you want and just weld up a new manifold or have one made.

no, it wont work as well, it will work but only due to oil pressure pushing it out.. yes you could fit the turbo on, but is it worth the anout of fabing you have to do when u can go s16G or 20G...youll see relatively the same gaines with those as you would the turbo you have.. just rember turbos are only as good as their supporting mods.

Depending on the specific turbo, you should be able to clock the turbine housing, compressor housing or CHRA to fit your needs.
