CEL codes 12 and 21

Car is running fine but a cel came on yesterday.  Keydance gave me 2 codes. One (12) says the direct link between the battery and PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles which doesn't sound right saying as i have not touched the battery. Second one (21) says there could be one of several problems with up or downstream HO2S sensor.  WTF is that and what's it do?  I assume because it's still running fine that it's just an emissions thing but that's just a guess.

The battery one is nothing to worry about.  The 02 is just a simple replacement.  Buy both at once, because if the upper is bad the lower will almost surely be bad, if the lower is bad it's possible the upper will be fine, but if it's not then the lower will be bad again in a few weeks/months.  I think they're like 40-60 bucks.  Ask Nykon.

Oh it's just an O2 sensor.  I didn't know what Ho2s meant.  Thanks.
