FS: 1997 Dodge Avenger ES v6 Auto with Sunroof and Grey Cloth Interior

So I posted a long descriptive post but I guess I took too long and it told me to sign in. Of course I hit back instead and now cannot find my post. man, I did it again. anyway it's all stock indy red 1997 Avenger 2.5l V6 with Auto, 176 K miles mostly driving from San Francisco to LA and back.  Comes with the stock sunroof, infinity sound sytem, homelink remote system, 17 inch stock rims on newer Yokohamas Avids (the longer wearing kind from America's Tire Shop), and it has had radiator flush, new water pump, new timing chain, new platinum plugs etc etc. all paperwork since new.

What went bad is the tranny pump. although that is not official, but two mechanics by listening to it say that is most likely it.  we have to pay to get it looked at, and at that point you are better off paying to get it fixed, but i was quoted 7.5 to 8 hours to fix compared to 6 to 6.5 hours to replace the tranny.  for a new MOPAR tranny with warranty at any Dodge Chryslet dealership it's $2000 installed.  To fix the pump it's like 800 - 900 dollars with labor... I just don't have the money.  if you guys want to buy it, the only other bad part is the pitted headlights which we are all familiar with and the rear spoiler looks like it needs to be buffed out. I think my girl put armor all on it by mistake one day (might have been me shoot!). Or if you know a good mechanic that can swing the price for cheaper we will get it fixed and keep it. we are in SoCal Rancho Cucamonga can't part out since she wants to move in about 6 months back to the Bay Area. I would rather keep it, but can't afford the 2g's to get the tranny swapped out. whadda you guys say? tax donate it, try to sell it on here? ebay it? cheers, Gus.  p.s. we were on ASOG under her name, Cathy back in the day when we had regions and G-wynn was around and we had no after market parts and 3.0 swaps were unheard of! we were still buying Eclipse parts and modifying them ! and fixing the foglights so they could work with the high beams! ha ha!

Hi Pyro. we are thinking 2 G's.  all the work was done within the last year and we have all the paperwork and receipts.

Let me know.

Guys,  if I want help/comments on the decision making process (and or tranny advice) should I post somewhere else? I am unsure if I should sell the 'Venge since it has been with us since new, my other vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler and after my girl bought a nice Honda Pilot I am thinking of ditching the TJ which I still owe a year on, or sell the Venge since we don't have the cash to fix it... it looks nice though, Indy red with a nice tint on the rear 3..!!! raise the sunroof and you get that mean stance!

Sell it for 2 G's Huh

Fix it and sell the Jeep Wrangler Huh

man! Tongue
