Passenger Rear
« on: November 30, 2005, 02:04:43 AM »

Why would the nuts on the rear passenger side keep loosening up?  I am guessing that it may be related to my accident, even though i was hit on the  driver side and everthing was replaced. i am not sure what bolts are coming loose but i know i get a rattle when braking,  clunks and clanks when i hit bumps ( as small as the lane divider markers ) at low and high speeds, and even some slight fishtail action.  I know that i have lost a bolt off my lower controll arm.  I hae brought it in to get tightened two or three times now.  Just keeps coming undone

replace the bolt. if the bolts in good shape and torqued properly it won't come loose. don't use an impact wrench.
unless something is all bent to hell..have you had an alignment recently?

Every time i take it back to the body shop to tighten it back up they put it back through alignment.  i am glad that everything is under life time warrenty but it still angers me.  I was just looking for some advice to give to the body shop to eliminate this.

when you bring it back is the alignment out of wack again?
i'd take it to a different shop becuase if that lower control arm comes loose you die.  Lips sealed

Well i dont die i just lose control very very well. and ill add that it is not a good time to learn abou ti on a two way road between Phoenix, and Las Vegas.  Maybe ill try a different shop.  When i got my car fixed in Vegas they still payed for it.  i just wish there was a reason why it kept coming loose.
