Praying for help!!
« on: September 06, 2006, 10:45:34 PM »

Was driving this morning and parked, smelt a funny smell comming from my car.  (burnt hair).  After restarting it later in the day it started running funny and a combination of lights were comming on and off, ABS and check engine light.  they went off, but my gas pedal is harder than normal to push in and it dies periodically when I put it in reverse.  The radio kicks on and off and my tempreature gauge goes up and down as I press the brake  WTF.  I went to autozone and got a dianostic and I got no faults detected but I did get P0700 and and a P1768.  Any Ideas?  I check the fluids and I know I am not over heating, it ran perfectly till this point, I was wondering what one thing could possible affect this.  Thanks!

I dont know what kind of car you have however Im not a scholar on alot of this other stuff
however their is no way  to diagnose a bad computor however Ive seen this that you have
descrived twice and both times it was the onboard computor on a GM  however computors
are like much like people who are A-- holes, they never tell you thier bad, you find out
the hard way,, however the issue of you gas pedal being stiff,, If you follow the trail
you may find something melted or burnt that has damaged your cable causeing all
your issues... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD luck.   Roger Reynolds
