there is a transmission relay next to the asd relay on the firewall, not sure if that's the one you are looking for.

I found the ASD relay on the left side of the firewall (standing in front of engine) but didn't see any relays next to it. Where exactly is the tranny relay that u mention?

it's not on that diagram. the relay runs in to the transmission computer not the ecm. i have the factory service manuals and it shows the transaxle diagrams. but if you think there is something wrong with the relay i'd just replace it.

Thanks for the pic. You must have a different year. On my car the ASD relay is on the left side of the firewall. On the right side is the Purge Selenoid, Fuel Pump relay and EGR Selenoid in that order. Thanks for the help anyways.

all years are the same.. do you have the coupe or sedan? becuase all sebring coupes and avengers have the asd, fuel pump and atx relays on the drivers side.

i have a 96 also..and that pic shows exactly where the relay is. the schematic you posted does not show a physical location.
there is nothing more i can do, but i think you have the locations messed up.
