Autoaccessorystore.com, Never buy anything there.

Sorry that this is so long but I'm pissed.

June 20th is my birthday. Late May I tell my GF that I want some reverse glow gauges for the Bring from this place. We order some. 7-10 days later they arrive at the front door right.?.?.?. Wrong! We get an E-mail saying that the item is on back-order through July 15th. That sucks, but I really want them so we wait. July 16th rolls around....Nothing. So we e-mail them. We recieve a response back stating that the item is on back order through August 4th. August 5th we e-mail them and recieve what was obviously an automated response stating "We're sorry, but that item is currently on back-order." NO SH*T!!! We wait a couple days and e-mail them again. Same response. It's now what....? August 9th. So I pick up the phone and call customer service. I immediately tell the guy on the other end of the phone that I'm really irritated. I explain the situation and ask him what they are going to do to make it right and to satisfy us. He says "I'm sorry sir but the item is on back-order and there is nothing I can do to speed up the delivery. I can cancel the order and issue a full refund if you like." My response: " But I still want the stuff. I think that a succesfull business might post on their website when items were "out of stock" or "on backorder" so that unsuspecting consumers won't order something and have to wait 4-6 months for their product to arrive." "I'm sorry sir. I can cancel the order and issue....blah....blah....blah." I follow with; "Isn't there some sort of discount you could give us for unsattisfied customers?" I can credit a 10% discount towards your next purchase..." I cut him off mid-sentance "There's not going to be a next purchase! Why the hell would I buy something from you again?!?" "Well sir I can not give you a discount on your current purchase." So I ask him how long from now is it going to take? "Let me contact my supplier and see if he has recieved them."................................................................................................................................................................................... He comes back, "My supplier was expecting them on his August 4th shipment. However, they did not come in." So I ask him when they will come in. He says "My supplier recieves his shipments once a month." So I'm like "It's going to be another month before your supplier even gets them?" "Correct sir. This product is not made in America; it is shipped in from out of country." I'm like "Well your "supplier" was expecting them on his June shipment, then it was his July shipment, followed by his August shipment, now it's his September shipment? Just F-ing cancel the order! This is rediculous!" Then I went on to mention how I was a respected member of several online car forums and that I would later be posting on the sites in order to bash their company and that they would lose business from this. I asked him how long we're going to have to wait to see the credit on my GF's account and he says 3-4 days. We'll see about that. Bottom line: If you want to recieve your parts while your car is still in running condition, order them elsewhere!

Anybody know where I can get a set of reverse-glow gauges sometime this century?

I've checked e-bay and so far I don't see anything that I like yet. I jsut don't know how much I trust ebay when it comes to something like this b-cuz there are so many variations of gauges for these cars and they all have ver minute differences that I'm being very picky about. I'm broke now anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. Oh well. Thanx guys.
