Need Help
« on: July 06, 2006, 12:48:04 AM »

I'm new to the group and need some ?'s answered about my 97 bring. I want a manual Trans but don't know what way to go. I have an LXi, with the 2.5 V-6, which to my knowledge was not offered with a manual. If anyone can give me a few options it would be much appreciated.

Thanx in Advance, Austin

no one yet has successfully swapped a manual in with the 2.5. there has been talk of it for years with little luck.
best bet is to build up the auto..

If you do a 3.0 swap you can do a stick can't you?

if you swap the entire drivetrain..a wiring nightmare IMO
the same issues are present wether it is the 2.5 or 3.0, since it is basically a longblock swap.
